Scott Bisbee - Personal Trainer - SVPT fitness

Certified Personal Trainer through ACE | Fitness and Health Diploma through Elevated Learning Academy:

With over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, Scott brings a results-driven and realistic approach to personal training. After owning and operating an award-winning personal training studio for eight years, Scott moved to Edmonton in 2018 with his family.

In addition to his fitness background, Scott has worked as a firefighter in the Canadian Forces and an industrial medic, bringing a strong foundation of safety, leadership, and adaptability into every session. He specializes in quick, effective workouts that help clients “do life better,” with an emphasis on functional strength, and time efficiency.

History:

Grant has always been active as the importance of physical activity was reflected in the effort his mother put in to be sure he was active. When Grant was younger he participated in any team sport that was available to him; as he got older he stayed active so that he could maintain good mental health.

The year 2018 was a turning point for Grant, receiving a concussion in a competitive dodgeball game, writing his last final exam, and overcoming alcoholism. In overcoming those challenges he learned to take a step back and look at the whole picture while still being aware of the pieces within.

Training Type:

Scott’s training style is practical, supportive, and grounded in real-life demands—especially for moms and dads juggling work, family, and their own health. Scott’s focus is on building sustainable habits that lead to lifelong strength, energy, and confidence.

Training Philosophy:

Workouts should fit into your life—not take it over—and that consistency beats perfection every time. With a no-nonsense, habit-based approach to movement. Scott helps clients build strength, energy, and confidence without fad diets, extreme programs, or hours in the gym.

Favourite Exercise:

Scott’s favourite exercise is the Turkish Get Up. It’s very practical to everyday life besides gaining mobility and strength, it also teaches you to get up off the ground in a safe manner, something that is crucial as we get older.
